The Bank Apartments are a stunning collection of holiday and short stay rental apartments, nestled in central Bristol and therefore on the doorstep of all the best café, bars and restaurants Bristol has to offer.
The Former Bank of England apartments are situated in the Grade I listed former Bank of England building on Broad Street Bristol, offering seven uniquely decorated apartments and suites.
Originally opening in 1847 after three years of construction, the impressive Bank of England building has been derelict for many years, but the team at Mint Stays have renovated it back to its former glory, providing beautiful, convenient and opulent accommodation for visitors to the city, right in the heart of Bristol.
The team undertook a painstaking restoration project, with a commitment to preserving the historical features of this grand building, creating seven self-contained apartments which can sleep groups of between two and eight guests. Our aim was to create a luxurious space for visitors to Bristol, whilst future proofing the iconic building and creating arguably the most impressive places to stay in the city.
Each room has been named in line with the building’s banking history, with spaces such as The Royal Mint, the vast balconied Sovereign Suite and the hidden cityscape penthouse, the Teller’s Secret Lofthouse, the studio apartments of The Gold Penny and The Rose Nobel. The interiors of each apartments are all very different, drawing inspiration from different design eras, and fusing a combination of products sourced from design guilds, vintage restoration finds and high-end retailers. The apartments all boast signature touches such as wallpapered ceilings, bold lighting and unique talking pieces, and the sheer scale of the building meant the team could be even bigger and bolder with this project.
Our Bank Apartments marry the Mint Stays vision of comfort, service, location and design with one of Bristol’s most interesting and jaw-dropping buildings; we are super excited to welcome guests to what are already being called ‘Bristol’s best apartments’.
